Case

A beautifully renovated house that, with its mix of classicist architectural details and rustic industrial look, placed special demands on furniture design, interior design and lighting.

Supermarco wanted a store that emphasized and interacted with the unique environment of the old building, while staying as far away as possible from a traditional supermarket interior with steel fixtures and dropped lighting ceilings.

To achieve this, all shelving is made of wood in a dark golden walnut look. The shelving is arranged at different heights, creating exciting views into other parts of the store and creating special focus areas. As a design element, portals have also been created across the aisles throughout the store. These portals also allow hidden installations to be routed around the store.

The retail space itself is made in the 12-meter-high hall that previously housed steel goods. To maintain the feeling of the large space while illuminating the aisles and shelving, Inventa LED developed a luminaire solution that could be mounted directly on the store's wooden shelving.

In addition to the shelving, the interior design consists of a number of specialized fixtures. These include wood-covered pallet racks for drinks and checkout counters, as well as sales tables that can be set up as either pallet frames or podiums for special offer products. These sales tables are easily moved around the store using pallet lifters.

On one facade of the store, there is a large window under a classically inspired gable field. Within this window are a series of eye-catching large fan-shaped portals painted in the same colors as the Italian tricolor. This is Supermarco's 'piazza', where special promotions for different products, tastings and more can take place.

Just inside the store's entrance, you'll find a cafe area with a mixed layout of low chairs and tables at cozy coffee benches combined with a long table for a quick meal. The décor here differs from the shop area in that it is done in a rustic oak look in harmonious combination with Italian tiles. The café has a lot to offer in terms of coffee, cakes, bread, ice cream and small hot dishes. All displayed and served from the dedicated counter area.

Supermarco is worth a visit. Not only because of the amazing products on the shelves, the delicious offers in the café, but also because of the interior design and the fixtures and fittings that are created to meet all Supermarco's wishes in terms of materials, design, lighting and functionality.

The successful interior design is the result of a development process of more than a year, where Inventa has been in close dialog with Supermarco. Inventa congratulates Supermarco on the finished result and we are proud to have been part of this project.
